Our "Prayer at the Square" as we call it was started by Jon and Genie Burns after Jon felt the urging to march around the courthouse square in Coldspring, TX to pray for revival.
They were soon joined by other members of Broken Clay Fellowship, including pastor Mark and Sherry Mears, who founded Harvest Reach International.
People outside of their fellowship also began joining the group for prayer.
Although many of the prayer team members are from Broken Clay Fellowship, our vision is that "Prayer at the Square" is open to anyone who desires to see unity in the Body of Christ and is looking for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the earth.
God has commissioned His people to co-labor with Him in order that the Kingdom of God may advance throughout the fallen world. A large portion of our effectiveness as co-laborers is through fervent prayer.
James 5:16 says “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
Scripture also says, “if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
